“All men want power. And the more they have, the more they want.” – Thrawn
Grand Admiral Thrawn, now in charge of the Emperial Fleet, plays a game of chess with the newly found New Republic. Part of the plan seems to be trying to kidnap Leia, her unborn twins and Luke, in order to hand them out to a “dark Jedi”.
This read had it all: Adventure, an engaging story, our heroes from a galaxy far far away and some clever additions to the set of characters, including Thrawn (a really interesting, intelligent villain) and the mysterious Mara Jade.
Never before was I curious about the upcoming plans of a villain in Star Wars to such an extend, as much as I was curios about what the protagonists were doing. Multidimensional characters are what the Disney Canon lacks of the most and thus I highly recommend this book to everyone in desperate need of a Star Wars fix.
